Why would you lock a thread that relates to an Offshore Sportsbook with 6 pages over 3000 views and 170 posts?

Why would you lock a thread in with a sportsbook has spoken, THE SHRINK has spoken and dogball has spoken?

I see so many threads on the Offshore Sportsbook page that have nothing at all to do with Offshore Sportsbooks and I just have to wonder what your motivation is for locking a thread. Not only that, you send it to the Rubber Room? Why?

I understand that you have a friend who works over at SIRBET, not to mention that they are an advertiser sportsbook who we all know get special immunity from negative publicity--never mind how truthful it is.

The more important question here is why these posts are allowed to stand.

I was under the impression that using the word "racketeering, and openly publicizing the name of a book's credit agent, was STRICTLY TABOO.

I don't know why you treat this punk with such kid gloves. It's not like he's making any valid points in these Sirbet postings.

Maybe I'm just used to MW and other sites that apparently uphold industry standards with regards to agent confidentiality. I know at most other forums, this college boy's arse would be on the first train to Wichita.

The agent is actually a former agent and I have been told that all ties have been severed betwwen him and Sirbet. That is a positive outcome, Hali.

What is so offensive about the word "racketeering" It sounds cool, IMO. Here, try saying Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or just say "RICO" 18 USC Sect. 1961 I would have to look at my book to get you any more detail than that.

Hali, relax man, there is no harm in the word racketeering, it actually sounds kinda cool when you say it. The RICO violation is a little more heavy duty, there has to be a "pattern of racketeering" plus some other stuff to have a RICO violation. Collection of illegal debt is in fact a predicate act that constitutes racketeering.

Anyways, Hali, I am going to pick up my road bike from the shop and go for a little spin on this fine Sat. per DW's suggestion. I hope that you have a fine day.

Maybe I said nothing of value, but there wasn't much value added by anything you put into that thread. I mean, with a 6 page thread, you would think you would get AT LEAST ONE PERSON supporting your position against the big bad sportsbook.

You've got the potential to be Little Paddy Mac, but like the Old Bull Patrick himself said, you've got to pick and choose your targets better.

By the way, I think Spive and I are almost on speaking terms again.

Talking about cleaning up the Forums and you guys do that? The General then deletes a conversation during which SIRBET'S AGENT MADE THREATS ON AN RX POSTER as though gamblers have no interest in learning that information.

Pat, I hope that you are not so advertiser book agenda driven as others. It might be tough to avoid with this group because they unconsciously and blindly defend these advertiser books from everything and anything that could be disparaging to them.

Without advertisers this place doesn't exist. It's not a Yahoo chat room. It's a place to exchange betting info and for the advertisers to pick up new players. Why else would they advertise here? It's damn sure not just to give you or me a place to post. So it's no surprise that the mods would be defensive when it comes to bashing shops that advertise here, especially in cases where there has just been a mix up or miscommunication. I know you might not like this concept but I know you're smart enough to understand it.
